Diamond Willow currently has locations in Proctor, Cloquet, Baxter, Mountain Iron, Grand Rapids, Park Rapids, Detroit Lakes, Little Falls and Alexandria. We will also be opening up a location in Duluth in the fall of 2008!
All of our homes feature 20 private suites with private bath and shower. Every suite is spacious yet comfortable and free to be decorated and personalized. Residents are encouraged to bring sentimental pieces from their home life to place in their rooms! In addition, our homes are desinged with a whirlpool center and hair salon for the convenience of our residents.
To help determine if an assisted living is right for you or your loved ones, ask yourself the following questions:
- Are you able to cook nutritious meals for yourself?
- Do you fee comfortable providing your own transportation?
- Is there someone at hand if you have a bad fall?
- Do you feel safe when showering or bathing?
- Are you able to schedule and keep Dr. Apptointments on your own?
Each Diamond Willow setting is designed to feel like a home. An expansive great room with a stone fireplace is found at the center of each building. Adjacent, is a comfortable, open kitchen much like you would find in any contemporary home. This open design is accented with many full sized windows to let in plenty of light. From making cookies to sharing favorite recipes, residents connect with staff and each other in meaningful ways.
Natalie Zeleznikar, Co-founder of Diamond Willow, created this setting with her Grandmother's needs in mind. She understood that her grandmother would be far more comfortable in a setting that provided a more 'home-like' atmosphere, with the smell of fresh baked bread and a private room filled with her personal belongings and memorabilia. Diamond Willow is a setting we would glady choose for ourselves and our loved ones.
We call our base level of services our Premium Care Package, because that's exactly what it is. This package includes nearly everything a resident needs. If residents need care beyond the Premium Care Package, we offer enhanced personal and medical care packages at an additional fee. This will be determined by a Diamond Willow nurse at the time of the residents screening. The actual monthy cost of our premium care package is traditionally lower than a nursing home and will be determined when meeting with our staff.
